Cayuga Centers welcomes new Chief Quality Officer, signaling commitment to continuous improvement.
Cayuga Centers, a child and family services nonprofit with operations in three states, has appointed Shannon Green as its new Chief Quality Officer.
Shannon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working on behalf of children, families, and individuals with disabilities. She has spent her career working in an Intensive Residential Treatment Center and Specialized Therapeutic/Treatment Foster Care programs. In her most recent role as Vice President at the Council on Accreditation, Shannon was responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, which assisted organizations through the accreditation process by providing valuable insight, standards interpretations, and technical assistance. She enjoyed partnering with organizations in implementing best practices for their staff and for those that they serve in their communities. The opportunity of having a unique view of the national human and social services landscape has provided her with a strong understanding of the issues organizations are facing today.
With Shannon’s appointment, Cayuga Centers reaffirms its commitment to an approach that is deeply grounded in research-based best practices with a strong belief in creating an environment that supports an organization-wide approach to continuous quality improvement.
Shannon’s department will maintain a systematic framework that supports excellence and an ongoing review of performance; a process that allows programs to demonstrate effectiveness, and is inclusive of all stakeholders through regular feedback.
A vital part of this will be a focus upon collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to make informed decisions that drive an organization in providing the highest quality services and ensuring that the commitment to the organization’s mission is upheld.
Shannon says: “I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of the team at Cayuga Centers that fosters and promotes a culture that values high-quality services, strong outcomes for the individuals served, and community partnerships.”
Shannon will be based in New York City but will oversee Quality across the organization.
