NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 9, 2023– Cayuga Centers congratulates its Executive Vice President for UC Transitional Foster Care, Jessica Oliveira-Haddad, LMSW, on being honored by The Chapter Network for her work supporting migrant youth and communities. The event was held on October 7th at the O’Connell Gardens in Oceanside, NY, and featured notable community leaders.
The fun-filled gala marked the entertainment network’s tenth anniversary, honored young heroes of the decade, and offered lifetime achievement awards to various community servants who have dedicated their careers to serving the vulnerable.
Cayuga Centers CEO & President Edward Hayes extended his congratulations to Jessica, stating, “Jessica has established a resilient and compassionate program that embraces traumatized refugee children, initiates the healing journey, and promptly reunites them with family members already residing in the US. Her dedication to each of these children mirrors a parental love. She is truly a changemaker in our world.” Jessica Oliveira-Haddad has worked at Cayuga Centers since 2014 and currently oversees the UC Transitional Foster Care(UC-TFC). The program ensures the well-being and safety of unaccompanied children (ages 0-17) who cross the US border without a legal guardian while they await unification.
