Miami, FL – September 14, 2023 -—Cayuga Centers announces that its Healthy Steps program has garnered recognition in the Miami Herald’s Spanish affiliate, El Nuevo Herald. The article spotlights the transformative impact of Healthy Steps on the lives of new parents within the Miami-Dade community.
The Cayuga Centers Healthy Steps program is funded by The Children’s Trust and uses the evidence-based model Healthy Steps for Young Children, which focuses on helping parents care for their babies and toddlers up to 3 years old. Healthy Steps specialists offer personalized and culturally appropriate parenting guidance, support, referrals, and care coordination at no cost. The program currently serves Hialeah, the fifth-largest city in Florida. Since merging with ICFH in 2022, Cayuga Centers has continued to expand its footprint and extend its invaluable services to the Miami-Dade community. Healthy Steps is one of eight community-based intervention programs currently offered in Miami-Dade County by Cayuga Centers.
