8 Standout Benefits at Cayuga Centers that Employees Love

At Cayuga Centers, our mission is based on care. We care for the individuals and families we serve. We also care for our employees who make this work possible.

We believe that when our team feels supported, they can perform their best work. That’s why we offer a benefits package that goes beyond the basics.

Here are eight benefits our employees consistently tell us they love:

1. A 401(k) Match That Builds Futures

Cayuga Centers provides a 401(k) match after one year of employment. We match dollar-for-dollar, up to 4% of an employee’s salary. This is better than most nonprofit jobs. Moreover, employees are 100% vested immediately, giving them full ownership of both their contributions and ours as soon as the contribution begins.

“I was able to focus on my retirement savings immediately when I started at Cayuga Centers. This is because I skipped the usual 6-months or 1-year waiting period for employee participation. The advisor from Lincoln Financial reviewed the plan with me and helped me set my retirement goals. Now I feel more confident that I’m actually planning for my future – and I can track my progress toward my goal.”

2. Virtual Care, Anytime, Anywhere

With our Cigna medical plan, we provide MDLIVE. This gives our employees 24/7 access to virtual care. They can get primary care, urgent care, and behavioral health support services. Whether it’s a late-night fever or a therapy session from home, care is just a click away.

3. Resources to Manage Life That Meet You Where You Are

Cayuga Centers is committed to the health and well-being of all our employees and their loved ones. We realize that everyone encounters challenges or difficulties from time to time, whether personal, family, or work-related. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers mental and behavioral health supports, financial and legal expertise, family planning support and dependent care consultation.

4. Paid Time Off (PTO) that Goes Beyond the Basics

Time away from work is essential to doing your best work. That’s why Cayuga Centers offers a generous paid time off program designed to support rest, flexibility, and well-being from day one.

Full-time employees receive at least 10 days of vacation, plus:

  • 1 floating holiday
  • 3 personal days
  • 12 sick days
  • 9 paid holidays

Whether it’s time to recharge, manage personal needs, or be present with family, our PTO package gives employees the flexibility to take care of themselves—without having to choose between work and life.

5. Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Support to Reduce Medical Costs

We help ease the burden of medical costs by covering up to 50% of an employee’s deductible through a Health Reimbursement Account. Funds are available at the start of the plan year and are automatically applied to eligible expenses—no paperwork required.

6. Paid Medical Appointment Time for Prioritizing Health

Cayuga Centers wants employees to take care of their health—and their loved one’s—and provides additional paid time off for doctors’ appointments. Each month, our employees get two, two-hour Medical Appointments.” They can use these two-hour allotments for their own medical appointments or their dependents’ medical appointments. It’s a simple policy that makes a big difference.

“Having two sets of two-hour medical appointment times per month that do not count against any sick, vacation or personal time is pretty unique and incredible”

7. Clinical Supervision for Licensure

For those pursuing professional licensure, Cayuga Centers provides clinical supervision at no cost. This benefit ensures that employees working toward credentials like LCSW or LMHC have the guidance and support they need from experienced supervisors. It’s part of our commitment to helping team members advance their careers while delivering the highest quality care to the communities we serve.

8. Career Advancement

At Cayuga Centers, we don’t just hire talent—we grow it. Our commitment to promoting from within is backed by a robust professional development ecosystem that empowers employees at every level. We believe in career mobility—whether that means stepping into leadership or stepping sideways to learn something new.

At Cayuga Centers, we’re not just offering jobs—we’re building careers, supporting families, and investing in futures. If you’re looking for meaningful work in a workplace that values your well-being as much as your work, check out our job openings at cayugacenters.org/careers
