Cayuga Centers Hosts “Halloween Hustle” Fun Run/Walk for youth and staff

Auburn, NY – Cayuga Centers hosted their “Halloween Hustle” Fun Run/Walk Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Staff members from various agency departments and youth in the out-of-home care programs have been planning for weeks to take part in the event.

The nearly 40 participants donned orange event shirts and braved the damp, chilly weather to walk or run the 1.74K route which was laid out through the agency’s neighborhood. Staff members who did not run or walk with youth were stationed along the course or followed along by car. 

Matthew Stuart, a teacher in the on-campus school operated by the Auburn Enlarged City School District finished first with a time of 6.57. The female winner was Michelle Prego-Milewski, Development Department Administrative Specialist, with a time of 8.14. The first youth, Nyquest, finished with a time of 7.18. Finishing with a time of 12.05, Bre was the first female youth.

Participants enjoyed sports drinks and snacks once they completed the event.
