Cayuga Centers Promotes Diane (Dee Dee) Schenck

Apr 25, 2016

Auburn, NY – Cayuga Centers President and CEO Edward Myers Hayes recently announced a change in appointment for Diane (Dee Dee) Schenck. Schenck will serve the agency in the newly created position of Vice President of Community Partnerships. In this capacity, she will supervise the Development Department, and support community engagement, network with, and foster relationships with community-based organizations and associations.

Dee_Dee_Schenck_v.jpgThe agency has grown in recent years from a limited program agency serving only Cayuga County to a multi-service provider operating programs throughout Central New York, New York City, Florida and Delaware. With the expansion comes a need to more actively engage with human services and public agency coalitions, necessitating the development of this position.

Schenck has worked at Cayuga Centers for over 20 years in a variety of positions, most recently as Vice President of Operations, overseeing day-to-day operations of multiple support departments. Schenck is looking forward to meeting new people and sharing about Cayuga Centers. She loves “the programs, the quality of work, and the passion the staff has in doing their jobs.” She says she has especially enjoyed her positions being able to support employees who are engaged in direct care with those served by the agency. She holds a Master of Science in Management from Keuka College, and is a member of the Leadership Cayuga Class of 2016.  Schenck serves on the Compliance Committee for the CNY Care Collaborative. The goal is to improve the coordination of healthcare services, enhance the quality of performance outcomes, and create an overall better system of care for patients.

Hayes anticipates this position, with others in a new leadership structure, will enable the agency to build a sustainable future of continuing to provide unique, high quality services which change the lives of those served through partnership and respect.
