Feb 24, 2016
Auburn, NY – Cayuga Centers President and CEO Edward Myers Hayes recently announced the hiring of Dana Newman, MSW, LCSW, as Program Director for the agency’s Delaware Foster Care Program.
For nearly 30 years, Newman has served as a leader in the human services field. He says, “The City of Philadelphia was my training ground for human service and leadership skill development.” He provided social work supervision for The Philadelphia Department of Human Services before his long time affiliation with YAP – Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., where he served as regional director, then regional president and Deputy CEO.
Hayes said, “We are excited to have Dana join us. He has a strong track record of building quality programs for youth and families in need. He matches this with a passion to change lives. I anticipate our doing great things for Delaware’s youth and their families.”
Newman shares, “My being with Cayuga Centers has a lot to do with my desire to focus my energy on my home state of Delaware. It’s a full circle experience as I started out in foster care and I enjoyed it tremendously. I have a wealth of experience and I am looking forward to using it to grow Cayuga Centers in a new venue. The sky is the limit for children’s services in this state and we need to be a part of it.”
Recruitment has begun for foster parents across the state of Delaware. Those interested in learning more about the treatment family foster care program may contact Dana Newman at 302-382-3826.
