Jun 04, 2018
Christy Robinson, Executive Assistant to Cayuga Centers CEO and President Edward Myers Hayes, graduated from Leadership Cayuga May 31st. The ceremony was the culmination of a nine month long community leadership develop program that exposes participants to community issues, business growth, skill-building and group projects aimed at business, government, and community issues and needs.
A lifelong resident of Auburn, Robinson says her view of Cayuga County was very Auburn-centric. “This experience opened my eyes to so much Cayuga County has to offer. Cayuga County has a lot going on. Although far from perfect, there is a large group of individuals, many behind the scenes, committed to making it the best it can be.”
A graduate of Keuka College, Robinson began her career at Cayuga Centers in 2015. She says, “Throughout this program, I fielded many questions about Cayuga Centers and had some really great conversations. I now have a new network of civic-minded individuals I can lean on if needed. That could be with a question or concern, or partnership opportunities. It was nice to hear that the community is interested in Cayuga Centers.”
Hayes said about Robinson’s participation, “As Cayuga Centers continues to provide many diverse services to children and adults and their families in Cayuga County, we are pleased to continue our participation in Leadership Cayuga. This is important for all working in our community.”
