Cayuga Centers Elects Members to Board of Trustees at 165th Annual Meeting

Auburn, NY – Members of Cayuga Home for Children, Inc., dba Cayuga Centers, recently held their 165th Annual Meeting and elected Marc Almanzor, Elizabeth Alvarado, Anne Marie Bernardoni, and Gerald M. Martin to serve as new members on the Board of Trustees.
Marc Almanzor, elected to fill an unexpired term ending in 2019, is Manager of Development Systems for Doctors Without Borders-USA and resides in Clifton, NY.
Anne Marie Bernardoni, Assistant Controller for Onondaga Community College, resides in Auburn, NY. She fills an unexpired term ending in 2018.
Elizabeth Alvarado, of Bergenfield, NJ, is Director of Care Coordination-Health Home, Community Health Care Network.
Gerald M. Martin is Assistant Vice-President for Student Life/Dean of Students, West Chester University and lives in Sewell, NJ
Alvarado and Martin were elected to three-year terms, joining Richard Barbieri, Glenn Fletcher and Gerald Smith, who were re-elected to serve until 2020.
Barbieri, a Bronx-based expert in cybercrime, is a Manager in Fraud Prevention with Etsy. Fletcher, of Auburn, is a salesperson for Fox Toyota Subaru and Post Realty and owns Euterpe Hall, a reception house. Westchester County resident Gerald Smith, Senior Vice President at Spartacus Partners Corporation, combines service to the community with ties to the business community.
The slate of board members is complete, with eight from the New York City area, six from Auburn, and one from upstate New York.
President & CEO Edward Myers Hayes said, “We are excited about these four additions to our Board and the skills and the experience they bring as we continue to deliver quality services to high need populations and expand our programs. Indeed we believe we have added our next generation of Board members as we continue into our 166th year of service."
Corporation members received the agency’s 2016-2017 Annual Report, which highlighted program news using a mosaic motif. Staff members told program success stories as Hayes described program accomplishments of the previous year.
Those gathered approved the 2016-2017 Acts of the Trustees and heard reports from the CEO and Board Chairperson David Connelly.
